Getting to know the Human Quotient team
Murray Brissett, our Capability Specialist
Elevating capability through learning and expertise
At Human Quotient Group, we believe our strength lies in our people—those who lead with purpose, show up with heart, and are committed to creating lasting impact.
In this edition of The Human Element, we’re spotlighting Murray Brissett, our Capability Specialist. Murray (or Muz as he is affectionately known), has had a diverse career advancing capability across the Australian Defence Force and beyond. Murray is an Army veteran with a remarkable record of shaping people, performance, and operational readiness.
Shaping Defence capability through training excellence
Murray’s journey in Defence spans significant operational, training, and leadership roles within the Australian Army. Throughout his service, he held high-profile positions advising senior officers on training management and leadership development. He also played a key role in shaping the Army’s newest officers and soldiers, not just through instruction, but by exemplifying the standards and professionalism expected of them.
After leaving the Defence Force and entering Defence industry, Murray continued to apply his training expertise across the Australian Government, supporting clients such as the Royal Australian Navy, Australian Army, Royal Australian Air Force, the Australian Maritime Safety Authority, and government agencies across South-East Asia.
And Murray has a fantastic beard, which is an asset in his frequent side gig as Santa Claus. (True story, Muz is a part-time model.)
With Human Quotient Group, Murray is a Capability Specialist with a focus on delivering integrated, compliant and cost-effective training solutions across Defence projects. He leads training strategy, coordination and documentation to ensure every element meets contractual, technical and operational requirements.
